DDTT Service Coordinator

The Dual Diagnosis Team located in State College is looking for a Service Coordinator. The DDTT Service Coordinator is responsible for providing case management services and coordinating care with other service delivery systems for the clients that we serve. The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or another human services related field. Must have no less than 5 years experience in the behavioral health field with at least one year of experience in a mental health setting, one year in an ID setting, and preferably one year of experience in the provision of case management services. The incumbent is required to complete the Blended Case Management training within one month of hire.

All successful candidates must be at least 21 years old and will be required to complete an application, have all required clearances, and complete a physical including a drug screen prior to becoming an employee at Beacon Light.


Family Advocate – Towanda, PA 

The Family Advocate is responsible for serving as the liaison between the individual, his/her family or legal guardians and governing systems, school or other social service organizations. The Family Advocate’s goal is to provide support and access to necessary services. This position requires a high school diploma. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Human Development, Child Development or another social service program is preferred. The Family Advocate must have comprehension of state and federal codes, laws and regulations. Additionally, the Family Advocate must have strong knowledge of local community resources and services including those provide by school districts, social service agencies and local assistance programs. Advocates should also have had prior experience with families in a school or social service setting and understand principles of child development, education and crisis intervention.

Night Supervisor – Towanda, PA

The Residential Night Supervisor is responsible for the management of the house during the overnight hours and the supervision of the individuals within the house by knowing where the individuals are at all time, checking that all door exits are lit, fire closures work properly, fire doors are closed, checking all the building to ensure doors are locked reporting irregularities on the evening sheet and filling out a maintenance request, and ensuring that night workers are punching a clock every 15 minutes after checking each bedroom with a flashlight to ensure that all the individuals are in bed and behaving.

The Night Supervisor must have at least an associates degree or 60 credit hours and 3 years experience.

Outpatient Clinic Nurse (RN or LPN) – Warren, PA

 
The Outpatient clinic Nurse is responsible for the medical management of the individuals served, by assisting the LIP’s in delivering the appropriate care within the clinical model of the out patient psychiatric setting. The candidate must hold an RN License (LPN would be considered as well) in the state of Pennsylvania and have a minimum of 1 year prior nursing experience.

Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS)
TSS provides therapeutic support to the child or adolescent in specified areas of social, behavioral and emotional concern and needs that have been identified by the child/youth and family and addressed in the treatment plan. To provide support to the child that facilitates the growth and development of the child and the development of therapeutic support skills in the parents, family members, educators and others to ensure that such support is maintained for the child as professional interventions are decreased and terminated. Qualifications for this position are an Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited university and 3 years paid experience with children or teens, a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field or a Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of paid experience with children or teens.

The Peer Support Specialist
Responsible for the management of an assigned mental health caseload of clientele for recovery oriented peer support services. The specialist will establish a trusting, respectful relationship with peers through the sharing of life experiences with mental illness or the mental health system. This will be done in coordination with the Peer Support Supervisor by performing the following duties. The Peer Support Specialist also works under the supervision of the Director- Milieu Therapies  or / Team Leader of a non-profit  community based program. This position will develop and maintain supportive relationships with persons served.  These relationships are essential to establishing the individual’s strengths and goals; identifying barriers, recovery strategies and alternatives to making choices about medication and treatment; and providing links to community resources.  The primary responsibility of a peer specialist is to help individuals identify and achieve their recovery goals and meet their specific goals.  The peer specialists facilitates recovery groups and participates in panel presentations to assist in education of recovery principles.  Presentations of staff and persons served provide the perspective of individuals living in recovery.  They will maintain departmental/agencies documentation and records.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Be a self identified individual who has received or is receiving state priority group services
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Have maintained, within the past three years, at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or voluntary work experience or one year of post secondary education
  • Completed and passed a Peer Specialist certification training program including written examination, which is offered in accordance with guidelines defined by OMHSAS, DPW.
  • Complete and pass ChildLine, PA State Background, and FBI Background checks and clearances.
  • Complete and pass drug screening.
  • Must have access to or own a vehicle that will enable the employee to carry out the duties assigned, including transporting consumers.

LPN Medical Professional Nurse, Towanda, PA
Beacon Light Behavioral Health System of Towanda, PA is looking for Nurses. The nurse is responsible for working with the MH-IDD Nursing Supervisor in the delivery of nursing care and overseeing all health concerns within the MH-IDD program.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Be a graduate of Accredited Practical Nursing Program and/or RN Certificate. Have a current, unrestricted LPN/RN license in the state of Pennsylvania, with one year of prior experience or training required

Short Term Adolescent Recovery (STAR) Program - Snyder County

Service Coordinator - Minimum bachelor‚€™s degree in human services related field.
Direct Care - Minimum high school diploma or GED. Experience preferred. All shifts available.

Adult Community Stabilization and Reintegration Unit (CSRU) - Snyder County
Licensed Therapist - Masters degree, licensure, BSC qualifications required. ‚€Ę Nurse - RN or LPN. Psychiatric nursing experience preferred. All shifts available.

Behavioral Health Coordinator
- High School diploma required. Higher education and experience strongly preferred.

Direct Care - Minimum high school diploma or GED and appropriate experience. All shifts available.Associate's degree, high school diploma or GED and appropriate experience managing office responsibilities in a clinical setting.

CSRU Service Coordinator - The Service Coordinator is responsible for the general oversight of the individuals admission, discharge and is the primary liaison between the agency and the families, placing agencies and other involved providers; is responsible for all clerical needs of the program including maintenance of medical records.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Must have experience in general clerical skills and office management.



MH RN/LPN - Second Shift, Weekends, and Night Shift responsible for the delivery of nursing care and overseeing all health concerns within the agency during the overnight shift.  Must be a graduate of Accredited Practical Nursing Program. Have a current, unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania, with one year of prior experience or training required.
 
Full-time Direct Care staff - Youngsville, PA, Towanda, PA and Bradford, PA responsible for working directly with clients in our Residential Treatment Program in Youngsville. This is an entry level position.  High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree and prior experience preferred.
